Another year of Vox Veniae, another year of our communal attempts
to do something for Austin, another year of plying our trades and
talents. As one of the more fumbling characters in our motley crew, I
have the dubious task of writing for and about Vox. The idea is to
inform those of us who can’t be everywhere all the time (ie. all of
us), what is happening in other neighborhoods or in other lives. This
is kind of a family newsletter, a way to keep track of everything we’re
doing in Austin and abroad. In the coming weeks leading up to the end
of the year, there will be a new article each Friday, chronicling
Austin, Vox, our family, the needs of those around us, and our ethos
and thoughts about the world. This second year of Vox is exciting, and
even though we are still just toddlers, we want to keep figuring out
life and how to work together. We hope you’ll join us as we try to be a
voice of grace in our city.
For now, this is a solo effort to
chronicle our lives, our passions, and our setbacks, but if you feel
there is an article or story bubbling inside of you, waiting to jump
out, then contact
me and we’ll get you involved.
